Grades 8–9
Bantam
Nine-man football since 2019. Bigger games, bigger commitment.
Grades 10–12 · school team
High School
The W.R. Myers Rebels — where the community programme leads.
Player safety is not an afterthought here
Taber adopted concussion testing years before it was normal, and every coach on every team holds the national safe-contact certification.
Baseline concussion testing since 2013
King-Devick testing was adopted at Bantam in 2013 — ahead of the CFL and the NFL. It gives coaches and parents a real baseline to compare against.
Every coach Safe Contact certified
Safe Contact is Football Canada's mandated course. Every coach in this association holds it.
Safer tackling, limited contact
Hawk-tackle technique is taught at every level, and full-contact practice time is deliberately limited.
